○ Cocteau Twins were a Scottish band active from 1979 to 1997. The band formed in Grangemouth by Robin Guthrie on guitars and drum machine, Will Heggie on bass, replaced in 1983 by Simon Raymonde, a multi—instrumentalist, and Elizabeth — Liz — Fraser on lead vocals. They pioneered the 1980s Alternative Rock subgenre of Dream Pop and also created the subgenre of Ethereal Wave, their unique and sublime sound.
Cocteau Twins was the best band of the '80s and Liz Fraser is probably the best female singer ever, also called the “voice of God”.
